I Have a Dell Inspiron 1501 and it is very slow, help!?

The only thing i use this computer for is with my ipod. I believe i need to delete all the other programs, but i do no not know how. The only programs I want are Microsoft Office, Itunes, McAfee %26amp; be able to use the internet. Advanced Windows Care by Iobit, (AWC) is an excellent free program that speeds up your computer. Also check you hard drive memory, you should have 10 percent free, if not, you need a new one, then you need to transfer files.





However, if you really want to restore you computer, your dell should have come with a restore disk. After you restore, then you do need to re install the programs, however, you can just get a free security program instead of McAfee.

having programs installed doesnt slow it down unless they are all running at the same time. Dells get slow after a year or so, they arnt built that well. Try downloading a program called CCleaner (yes 2 Cs)


This program will clean out the computer and speed it up. its free too.
