Generally it cost 199.99 with tax from apple and other retailers. If you go on sites like amazon and ebay, you can get it about 30 dollars cheaper.
Purchased my 8gb ipod touch on amazon from a black friday sale and I ended up getting it for about 169.99 with tax.
